Corneal tattoo - Lamellar pocket technique

A patient with a blind left eye wanted to improve the cosmetic appearance of this eye without undergoing any major surgery. He mentioned that his grand kids were now scared of him and wanted something done.

He had 3 failed corneal grafts in this eye as well as a history of failed tube surgery for glaucoma. Thankfully, his other eye was normal.

He underwent corneal tattooing with a modified lamellar pocket technique under local anaesthetic as demonstrated in the video.

He was very happy with the cosmetic result and his grand kids were no longer scared of him!
